Importance of Gau Seva in Hinduism
In Hindu tradition, the cow is revered as “Gau Mata” (Mother Cow) and considered sacred. Scriptures like the Vedas and Puranas emphasize the importance of protecting and serving cows, associating it with spiritual merit (Punya). By engaging in Gau Seva, devotees honor this sacred relationship, foster harmony with nature, and uphold dharma (righteousness).
